Classic Dishes & Comfort Food

These are the dishes you grew up with: the comforting, timeless meals that are intertwined with your favorite memories. Perhaps the smell of warm, sweet cinnamon buns transports you to the anticipation of Christmas morning. The sound of bubbling mozzarella atop layers of noodles, sauce, and meat might remind you of your grandmother’s smile while serving her famous lasagna.

Modifications can be made to all of the dishes below to meet your dietary requirements.

Breakfast

Fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes…Light and fluffy, these pancakes reheat flawlessly and will have you looking forward to weekday mornings like you never have before. Served with your favorite fruit and a drizzle of pure maple syrup. (SF, options for: GF, Vegan, DF, Paleo)

Breakfast Burrito…Scrambled eggs, crispy roasted potatoes, sauteed breakfast sausage, and melty cheese wrapped in a tortilla. Each bite is a perfect combination of flavor and texture. (SF, Option for: GF, DF, Vegan)

Blueberry Muffins…A moist muffin packed with flavor and juicy, plump blueberries. Best enjoyed with a cup of joe or hot tea! (GF, SF, DF, option for: Vegan)

LUNCH & DINNER

Roasted Chicken & Mashed Potatoes…Crispy skin, juicy meat and served with a side of fluffy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. (GF, SF, options for: Whole 30, DF, Paleo)

The Ultimate Lasagna…Tender noodles layered with a mixture of sweet and hot Italian sausage, bright marinara sauce, creamy ricotta and bubbling mozzarella. Comfort on a plate, best served hot. (There are endless options for more innovative lasagna dishes - from vegan to paleo, just ask!)

BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches…A potato bun loaded with moist pulled pork and a perfectly sweet and spicy barbecue sauce. Served with baked beans and a simple farm salad. (SF, DF, options for: Paleo, Whole 30)

The Best Chicken Soup…The soup you will want on repeat from October - February. This isn’t your canned, Campbell’s soup. This soup is addictively delicious, healthy, and nourishing. Each bite is loaded with pearled couscous, chicken breast, carrots, celery and a broth that is bursting with flavor. (SF, DF, options for: Paleo, GF, Whole 30)

Steak & Potatoes…When covering the classics, there is no excluding steak and potatoes. Rib-eye is seared in a cast-iron pan to get a delightful crust while remaining juicy inside. Potatoes are served any way you like (mashed, roasted, au gratin - you pick!) along with sauteed asparagus. (SF, GF, options for: DF, Whole 30, Paleo)

Chicken Broccoli Ziti, or CBZ…Upon meeting my husband, I soon found out that he referred to Chicken Broccoli Ziti only as “CBZ” and expected that acronym to be common vernacular. I have since made many bowls of CBZ and we are now married - I’d like to think the CBZ has something to do with that! Ziti, tender chicken breast, and steamed broccoli in a silky cream sauce. (SF, options for: GF)

Black Bean Skillet Chili…This vegetarian skillet chili is packed with black beans, tomatoes and onions and then topped with homemade pickled onions. Once you try chili with a pickled onion finish, you will demand it on every bowl you eat. (Vegan, DF, SF, GF)

KEY…GF: Gluten-free, DF: Dairy-free, SF: soy-free
